Pick up my November Art Smarts (tm) article in Scrap and Stamp Arts to learn how to create moasic frames. These frames are made from a moasic material that can be cut with craft scissors. That makes creating these frames - child's play. Yet, they look fantastic.

The frames use rubber stamps, 3-D fabric paint, Krylon spray paint, and the moasic tiles. These are great to make for Christmas craft shows as well. The instructions are easy to follow and show you several ways to create the frames.

You can view samples of my work on Youtube: Carol's Artwork

New Projects

Rolodex Article
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_rS0U8RG4fWs/RuszJBKufvI/AAAAAAAAAEU/ZmbpdXO-Z98/s320/katie.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5110234432207224562" />
Check out the summer Scrap and Stamp Arts Magazine for my Column on Rolodex Cards. Then you will use that knowledge to create a Book of Days. You can use this template to create the Book of Days to record important dates in your life - or use the template to create an album or book. This book of days makes a wonderful gift (It's not too early to think about making Christmas gifts). It's also a great way to teach students about color. There are other great articles in the May issue - this one is a keeper!

Backgrounds
The June Art Smarts! Column in Scrap and Stamp Arts shows you how to Take Better Photographs of Children. However, you can also use these tips and techniques with pets and general photography. There are four scrapbook layouts that can also be used as greeting cards. There is also a mini, folded book that can be used for photographs or collages.

June's issue will also show you how to use Jacquard's Castaway ink pad to create great background papers. It gives you the look of Clorox stamping, but without the fumes so you can breath easier. This issue is also full of background techniques that you will love to use with all your paper arts projects.

Scrap and Stamp Arts is known to give you quality projects and techniques that you will want to keep in your paper arts library. Column exclusively in Scrap and Stamp Arts, Scott Publications.

Learn how you can make the angel in the above slide show. It uses paper clay and one rubber stamp. It's super easy, it may not look it, but it is. Look for this article in an upcoming issue of Polymer Cafe, Scott Publications.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_rS0U8RG4fWs/Rf_d1dDLnnI/AAAAAAAAACs/qSXD-LxcMZQ/s320/Torso+graphic.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5043994018079022706" />

There has been tremendous response to my new column, Art Smarts!tm in Scrap and Stamp Arts. I want to thank all of you that emailed me telling me how much you loved the articles. I've had fun creating them.

Some of you asked where I found the flat black ribbon used on two of the purses in my February Art Smarts! tm Column. I found the ribbon in Walmart of all places. Of course, that was before they changed my walmart - But there are many wonderful beaded ribbons on the market to help you create your own Scrapbooking Handbags like the ones I created. Jaquard, Aleene's, and Tulip products were used in the projects.

Keep your eyes out for my March ArtSmarts!tm Column in the March, 2007, issue of Scrap and Stamp Arts. Learn how you can create Textured Letters for your art projects. These textured letters allow you to add texture without bulk. You'll see two letters (A's - top photo on my blog) that I used in a scrapbook layout (in the column). I used Delta's Texutre Magic for this column. These letters are great for altered arts projects, greeting cards, collage, and scrapbooking.

Also coming soon is an Art Smarts!tm Column All About Color and how to use it. This is one column in Scrap and Stamp Arts that you want to keep on hand. Not only will you learn how to combine colors, you'll also produce a wonderful paper arts project (A Book of Days) that lets you use what you learned. If you rubber stamp, create altered art projects, dabble in scrapbooking, like making cards, or create collages, you will use this column to take your work to a new level.

I will also have an article in Polymer Cafe in the next few months -- it will show you how to create a wonderful paper angel torso. This article will have step-by-ste- photos to show you how to create the angel. I use her to hold a bracelet that I am not wearing, but she and her soon to be created sisters will grace my Christmas tree this year. She is so easy to create... no two should look alike... and best of all... it doesn't have to be baked to dry. This would make a great project for schools.

Cool Slideshows

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_rS0U8RG4fWs/Rdzsgqtof9I/AAAAAAAAACg/CEZjAq19THE/s400/Textured+letters.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5034158529459027922" />

New ArtSmarts! Yes, the bag could be personalized with your own photo for about $99.00. But, I could thing of a lot more I could do with $99.00!! I thought you could too.

My Scrapbooking Handbag article will show you how you can use your own printers to create wonderful traveling works of art. And, you can do it inexpensively... avoiding sticker shock. Best part is that it is supper easy to create these purses. Pick up the article today!

.

Craft and Hobby Association Show in CA

CHA Designers were invited to produce projects for three displays in the outside hall. I thought you'd like to see my three entries. These are table top collages that are created on pressed paper blocks. The background papers use Jacquards inkjet fabric papers and are secured to the paper with Duncan's fabric glue.

.

..

Emma Rose is in the library room and this project has a very earthy feel to it. Emma is our youngest and loves to sit in this hand basket. This project uses paint, wire, beads and buttons to pull this look together.

.

You'll find my husband, Paul, on in this project. Polymer clay was used to create the star fish and other sea life on this collage.
